There is clearly a strong demand for plant-based meals, since there are over 100,000 monthly online searches for “vegan recipes” and “vegetarian recipes.” The majority of individuals (52%) are interested in learning more about veganism, and this interest is reflected in consumer demand for easy methods of cooking plant-based meals. 56% of individuals have expressed a desire for easier access to plant-based meals.
While there is little doubt that everyone makes plant-based food choices for their own reasons, the poll found that the top three reasons were health (55%), environmental concern (34%), and personal preference (28%).

The majority of parents (69%) say it’s difficult to locate quick, healthy plant-based meals that they feel good about giving their children.
