Doug Haynes is an advisor to public and private industry leaders as president of The Council. A veteran of the financial industry, Haynes previously held various leadership positions at Point72, including president of the company. Before joining Point72, Haynes was a senior partner at McKinsey. In addition to leading his team, Haynes co-founded the firm’s technology division. Before entering the field of finance, Haynes spent much of his life working in software development and product management.
Haynes’ technological background gave him a solid base for his management consulting work. He graduated summa cum laude with a mechanical engineering degree from West Virginia University. After graduating, he worked in various engineering and software development positions before branching into the business world. Haynes quickly found himself drawn toward the management consulting industry. His outstanding graduate education at the Darden Graduate School of Management further fueled his interest. An incredible experience helped shape Haynes into a successful consultant.
During his 22 years at McKinsey & Company, Doug Haynes worked with diverse client executives and leaders across the globe.
