Understanding Amy’s Kitchen’s Offerings And Environmental Efforts
Amy’s Kitchen is an independent, family-owned Certified B corporation and organic food corporation dedicated to making it easy and enjoyable for people to find healthy and delicious food.
They use high-quality and organic ingredients to make their authentic, unique, and mouthwatering dishes readily available for customers.
Today, Amy’s Kitchen is the leading organic/ natural food brand across different categories in United States retailers.
They conducted a survey to determine what drives people to purchase vegan meals. The survey included 2,007 adults, some who have children below 18 and some who don’t live with any children.
52% said they were curious about the diet, 55% said they eat vegan because of their health, 34% said they wanted to conserve the environment, and 28% said they love the taste.
They offer numerous choices of organic packaged and frozen foods. These foods include vegan or plant-based, gluten-free, soy-free, lactose-free, dairy-free, corn-free, tree nut-free, Kosher DE, Kosher D, and light in sodium.
This inclusion has made them a highly-preferred brand for everybody looking for a plant-based diet, whether because of their health, taste preferences, or environmental conservation efforts. They have over 100 gluten-free, 120 vegan, and dozens of Kosher products, making them safe even for people with food sensitivities.
Some popular dishes include Organic Rustic Italian Vegetable Soup, Tortilla Casserole and Black Beans Bowl, Cheese Pizza, Harvest Casserole Bowl, Cheese Enchilada Meal, Italian Sausage, Mushroom and Olive Pizza, and Organic Tortilla Soup.
These products are available in all US states and over 28 countries in other parts of the world.
One of the reasons the organization focuses on plant-based diets is to help save the environment. To make their efforts more intentional, they aim to power 100% of their operations using renewable power by 2030.
That goal saw them participate in a Gigaton Power Purchase Agreement among other Walmart suppliers. Schneider Electric’s NEO Network powers the agreement and aims to reduce a gigaton of emissions from Walmart’s global value by 2030.
They expect their first purchase to generate around 250,000 MWh of renewable power annually. Amy’s Kitchen announced they would partner with Orsted’s Sunflower Wind Farm to acquire renewable energy, which will power approximately 30% of their operations.
